My process is a practice of following what I don’t understand yet. I make something, interrupt it, overwork it to death, try to bring it back and figure out what I’m doing after I’ve already done it. A lot of the work happens in that space between trusting my instincts vs feeling hopelessly inadequate. The longer I work, the more I’m realizing that there is no shortcut around that uncertainty. The practice is learning to stay with it—to keep looking, keep editing, and eventually trust that something worth finding might take time.
